They are hiring for a Production Manager in their central Ontario manufacturing facility.
Production Manager Role
Responsibilities:
  1. Provide coaching support to the production supervisors to achieve internal and external customer expectations;
  2. Monitor and communicate daily production requirements;
  3. Guiding the Continuous Improvement Leads to identify and facilitate process improvement to drive cultural change;
  4. Monitoring data collection and analysis for process mapping, developing budgets and costing analysis to determine project feasibility;
  5. Reviewing and conducting root cause analysis data to troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly issues, material flow, project plans, production capacity, facility design and create process documentation;
  6. Resolving work problems and recommending measures to improve productivity and product quality;
  7. Providing strong leadership in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment through compliance to IMSU/EHS safety rules and regulations and meet all legislated regulatory requirements;
  8. Develop and conduct continuous improvement compliance audits, program evaluations and reviews to drive and sustain results;
  9. Prepare production and other reports;
  10. Monitor and evaluate key process indicators;
  11. Lead, motivate and promote employees within area of responsibility. Manage the performance and development of direct reports, conduct performance appraisals and goal setting agreements on a bi-annual basis, succession planning, personnel development, identify training needs and measures;
  12. Promote and advocate for quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization.

Desired Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing/Production Engineering
Minimum of eight years related experience in manufacturing.
Microsoft Office, Infor Syteline – Version 9, New Product Introduction, LEAN Manufacturing Principles, 5S Methods, Process Mapping
A big thinker who can see themselves in a Plant Manager role in 3-5 years.
