Senior Systems Administrator – Toronto
Our client plays an integral role in simplifying consumer access to online services and applications through their next generation privacy-enhancing identity and authentication networks. Due to increasing demand for their infrastructure platform, they are growing their systems administration team. 
In the role of Sr. Systems Administrator you will handle multiple vendor relationships and work closely with them to meet business requirements with attention to detail and achieving outstanding customer satisfaction. Ideally, you will have current experience running Linux and VMWare Cloud Fabric within an cloud service or hosting data center facility.
  • Day-to-Day operations and maintenance of the server infrastructure and supporting cloud services with a focus on Red Hat Linux, JAVA application servers, MYSQL and VMWare ESX.
  • Implementation of production changes in out-of-hours maintenance windows
  • On-call for critical incident support on a rotational basis
  • Provide input to post implementation reviews and RCAs
  • Management of issues using an ITIL-compliant ticketing system
  • Vendor Management
Required Skills & Experience: 
  • 10+ years’ experience in system / infrastructure administration or related field
  • Management and troubleshooting of Tomcat application servers or SpringSource tc Server
  • Hands-on experience with server / network infrastructure delivering Internet facing applications and solutions
  • Must be completely comfortable working in a shell environment
  • Managing VMware ESX environments in a clustered configuration
  • Ability to comply with strict processes in a highly controlled and monitored production environment
  • Experience with Spacewalk/Foreman, Docker, Git, Ansible, CI/CD, nginx/Proxy, Atlassian Confluence\JIRA, Jenkins build service
