Position Description:
The Manager, Security Consulting Services is responsible for managing the delivery of technical security testing services which include network and application penetration testing and social engineering. The Manager will coordinate and schedule security engagements for team members, monitor the status of those engagements, provide quality assurance for deliverables and manage client relationships.
The Manager also works closely with the Sales team and is responsible for scoping engagements, answering prospect inquiries, developing proposals and statements of work and helping to build positive and strong relationships with the prospect. The Manager is also responsible for maintaining the project management system, monitoring the status of project budgets and project financials. The Manager reports to the Director of the Security Consulting Services team.

Position Responsibilities:
In this role, you will work closely with customers, business partners and across their internal organization to accomplish the following:
  • Lead, motivate, coach, and mentor a penetration testing team comprised of highly skilled individuals
  • Deliver high-quality security testing engagements as an individual and as part of a team
  • Assist Sales in qualifying leads, scoping opportunities, and closing sales for service engagements
  • Manage client expectations and meet deadlines related to project deliverables and logistics for technical engagements
  • Maintain and enhance quality relationships with clients and prospects
  • Contribute to development of new, additional service offerings
  • Train Sales staff on positioning services; provide guidance on updates to Sales and Marketing materials
  • Schedule and coordinate testing engagements for the team
  • Document and monitor the status of projects in the project management system
  • Design and develop tools and resources to augment and improve processes; configure existing tools and resources to perform more effectively
  • Contribute to the evolution of their service strategy and offerings, including scoping process, delivery steps, deliverable format and content, etc., to ensure quality and consistency
  • Introduce process efficiencies into existing methodologies and recommend improvements to engagement workflow
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related area of study or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing delivery teams with a demonstrated ability to hire, motivate, mentor, coach and lead technical teams
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience performing penetration testing and other offensive security testing engagements
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, penetration testing tools and methodologies
  • GIAC, OSCP, OSCE, CISSP certifications strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the PCI DSS and its application in real-world environments, specifically as it relates to scoping penetrating testing engagements
  • Dedication to process, practice and methodology improvement
  • Consulting services experience with proven skills in project management and delivery
  • Customer focused – adept at building long-term relationships with customers and partners
  • Ability to present at webinars, industry conferences and meetings
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
You’ll have an advantage if you have…
  • Experience leading Social Engineering and Red Team engagements
  • Knowledge of Industry Standards, e.g., ISO 27001, NIST publications and other industry-related security standards
  • Desire to build a technical security testing practice; strong motivation to interface with prospects, assist sales with cultivation of leads, opportunities and strong client relationships
